Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal
Partially regulated: Some verticals or channels are licensed while others are not. Recorded framework: partially regulated, transcribed from the jurisdiction's own law and regulator. GambleLABS has not yet completed an editorial review of it, so it is reference data rather than a GambleLABS assessment. It is a description of market structure, not a legal determination, and it decides nothing about any individual account, transaction or operator.
Casinos may be registered and inspected by the Department of Tourism under the casino regulations made pursuant to the Tourism Act, while other commercial gambling is not licensed.
Informational only
This page is general information about how complaint and dispute processes work, and a record of the authorities GambleLABS has on file for Nepal. It is not legal advice, it states no obligation, penalty or entitlement, and it cannot account for the facts of an individual case. Confirm anything time-critical directly with the authority named, and consider taking qualified advice in your own jurisdiction.
01Who supervises what
Every authority row GambleLABS holds for this jurisdiction, with the URLs recorded against it. Which body is the right one depends on where the operation is licensed, which is often not where the player lives — so more than one may be relevant, and sometimes none of them is.
Department under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation that registers, licenses and inspects casinos under the casino regulations.
02Verification
The authority’s own register is the authoritative check. A logo, a footer claim or a licence number printed on a website is a claim about a register entry, not the entry itself — the two are checked separately.
Check the register first
Not recorded — no licence register URL is on file for any authority in Nepal. Start from the authority’s website above and look for its public register. GambleLABS does not guess at register locations, because a wrong deep link sends a reader to the wrong record.
GambleLABS holds no published licence records for Nepal. A licence appears here only when it has been read from a named register and attached to a published entity dossier. An empty list says nothing at all about who is or is not licensed here — the register itself is the answer to that question.
03Before you complain
Capture all of this while you still have access to the account. Account access is frequently lost once a dispute is raised, and material you can no longer reach is material you cannot put in front of anyone.
Preserve first, complain second. Every item below is easy to capture while the account is open and frequently impossible afterwards. Export to a file where the interface allows it, screenshot where it does not, and keep the originals unedited.
The full transaction history covering the disputed period, exported if the account offers an export. It is the only record that shows deposits, wagers, wins and withdrawal requests in one sequence.
The payment references on both sides — the operator’s own reference and the one your bank, card or wallet shows. Without them a payment provider cannot identify the transaction you are asking about.
Everything said by support, in full and unedited. Chat windows are often cleared when a session ends or an account is closed, so save the transcript at the end of each conversation rather than later.
A dated copy of the terms and bonus conditions as they read on the day you played. Terms are revised without notice, and a dispute is usually about the version in force at the time.
Every document request, every submission, and every rejection with the reason given. A verification history shows what was asked for, when, and how many times.
The account balance, the withdrawal screen and any error message, each with the date and the full browser or app window visible. A cropped screenshot with no context is weak evidence.
04Process, not entitlement
The general order in which channels are approached. Which of them applies to a given account, and what any of them can do, is decided by the body concerned — not by this page.
Complete the evidence list above before you raise anything. This is the only step entirely within your control, and it is the one that decides whether the later steps have anything to work with.
Submit through the operator’s published complaints procedure, in writing, stating the facts, the amount in dispute and what you are asking for. Note the date sent and keep the submission itself, not just the reply.
Where the operation is licensed, the licensing authority or a dispute-resolution scheme it recognises is the next channel. Which body applies follows the licence, not your address. The authorities on file for this jurisdiction are listed above.
Where funds moved by card, bank transfer or wallet, that provider may operate its own dispute process, with conditions and time limits it sets. Ask them what applies to the specific product you used, and get the answer in writing.
Log every date, reference number and response as it happens. A dispute that moves between channels is judged largely on the record you can produce, and reconstructing it later from memory rarely works.
05Where to send it
The complaints URLs recorded for this jurisdiction, and GambleLABS’ own confidential intake. Reporting to GambleLABS is not a substitute for complaining to the authority — the two do different things.
Not recorded — no complaints URL is on file for any authority in Nepal. Where an authority website is recorded above, its complaints route is normally reachable from there.
A report to GambleLABS is private by default and never published without a human review, full redaction and your explicit consent. It does not open a case with any authority, and it cannot recover funds. What it does is add a documented account to the record — which is how patterns across operators and jurisdictions become visible at all.
06What tends to go wrong
Structural features of online gambling that recur in disputes everywhere. None of these is a claim about any named company, and none is specific to this jurisdiction.
The company named on a licence is frequently not the brand on the website. Complaints and register searches follow the licensee, so establishing the legal name on the terms page early avoids sending the complaint to a body that does not supervise it.
Accounts are sometimes closed or restricted once a dispute is raised, taking statements, transcripts and terms with them. That is why preservation comes before escalation on this page.
Identity and source-of-funds checks are often triggered by a withdrawal rather than at sign-up, which makes them feel like an obstacle to being paid. Keeping every request and submission dated turns a vague delay into a documented sequence.
Payments frequently route through a processor that is neither your bank nor the operator. When a payment stops there, neither end may be able to tell you where it is, and the dispute has three parties rather than two.
Badges, seals and licence numbers displayed on a site are claims. Only the authority’s register shows what is actually recorded — and a site absent from a warning list has not thereby been approved.
Bonus and withdrawal conditions can be revised at any time, and the version that matters is the one in force when you played. A dated copy is the difference between an argument and a record.
07Time limits
No deadline is published on this page
GambleLABS does not hold verified limitation periods, complaint windows, appeal deadlines or chargeback time limits for Nepal. None is stated anywhere on this page, and none is estimated or inferred from another country.
You must confirm any applicable time limit directly with the authority or scheme concerned, and with your payment provider for anything on the payment side. Deadlines are frequently short, differ between channels, and change. Treat every step as time-sensitive until the relevant body has told you otherwise in writing.

09Record status
A review date records that a named GambleLABS reviewer checked the authority rows and their URLs against the authorities’ own sites on that date. Where no date is shown, that check has not been carried out — the reference data is still real, but nobody has re-confirmed it, and URLs rot. Read the methodology for what a review involves, or the corrections log for what has been amended since publication.
